Br. Joseph Ferraro was elected State Master Councilor on July 19th at the 59th Annual New York DeMolay Convention Br. Ferraro joined the Meridian Sun Chapter on April 12, 2021. He would later go on to become the first Master Councilor of the re-instituted Tuscarora Chapter. He attended the 2023, 2024 and 2025 KeyMan conference on behalf of New York DeMolay. He holds the Representative DeMolay, Lamp of Knowledge, Past Master Councilor’s Meritorious Service Award, Founder’s Membership Award, Zerubbabel Key, and a number one pin. He was honored with the Degree of Chevalier. He is entering his Freshman year at SUNY. He has served as Lakes Region Master Councilor, State Senior Councilor and Deputy State Master Councilor

Br. Thomas Tatu was elected Deputy State Master Councilor on July 19th at the 59th Annual New York DeMolay Convention. He joined the Tuscarora Chapter on November 8, 2022. He joined DeMolay because his friend told him about the fun and excitement. Br. Tatu has served in several offices in DeMolay, including Master Councilor of Tuscarora Chapter Br. Tatu has been honored with the Lamp of Knowledge, the Representative DeMolay, the Past Master Councilor’s Meritorious Service Award, Blue Honor Key. Br. Tatu is a 3-time alumnus of the DeMolay KeyMan Conference. He will be a Freshman at RIT. He has previously served as Lakes Region Master Councilor, State Junior Councilor and State Senior Councilor

Br. George Melis was elected State Senior Councilor at the 59th Annual New York DeMolay Convention. He joined Knickerbocker Chapter on December 19, 2021. He joined DeMolay because of his commitment to service and dedication. Br. Melis has served in several offices in DeMolay, including Master Councilor of Knights Templar Chapter. Br. Melis has been honored with the Lamp of Knowledge, the Representative DeMolay, the Lamp of Knowledge, the Degree of Chevalier, the Founder’s Membership Award and the Blue Honor Key.

Br. Jacob Spencer was re-elected State Junior Councilor on July 17h at the 59th Annual New York DeMolay Convention Br. Spencer joined Crown City Chapter on August 25, 2022. He later served as Master Councilor of Crown City Chapter. He holds the Representative DeMolay, Lamp of Knowledge, Founder’s Membership Award, and a number one pin. He is currently in high school. He served as State Junior Counrilor in 2025-2026.

Br. Andrew J. Brown was elected Lakes Region Master Councilor on July 19, 2026, at the 59th Annual New York State DeMolay Convention. Br. Andrew’s DeMolay career started in 2024 when he joined Tuscarora Chapter. He won first place at the Mid-Atlantic Tournament of Champions. He attended the DeMolay KeyMan Conference in 2025. He is currently attending high school. He previously served as State Chaplain.

Br. Brayan Backaus was elected Four Rivers Region Master Councilor at the 59th Annual New York DeMolay Convention. Br. Brayan’s DeMolay career started on August 19, 2023, when he joined Electric City Chapter. He has served as Master Squire, Senior Deacon, Junior Councilor, Senior Councilor, and Master Councilor. He holds the Representative DeMolay, Lamp of Knowledge, Number One Pin, White Honor Key, and Distinguished Service Award. He has attended the DeMolay KeyMan Conference in 2024 and 2025. He is currently attending high school. He previously served as State Chaplain.

Br. Jackson Dais was elected Metropolitan Region Master Councilor on July 19, 2026, at the 59th Annual New York DeMolay Convention. Br. Dais joined DeMolay in August 2022. He is a Representative DeMolay and a holder of the Founder’s Membership Award, Lamp of Knowledge, and Blue Honor Key. He is currently in high school.

Br. Collin was appointed State Scribe on July 19, 2026, at the 59th New York DeMolay State Convention. Br. Collin joined DeMolay in July 2022. He is a Past Master Councilor of Crown City Chapter. He holds the Lamp of Knowledge, Representative DeMolay, and Founder’s Membership Award.

Sister Phillips was installed as State Sweetheart on July 20, 2026 at the 59th Annual New York DeMolay Convention.

Sister Melis was installed as a member of the State Sweetheart Council on July 20, 2026, at the 59th Annual New York DeMolay Convention.
